Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of man-made chemicals that are widely used in a wide range of industrial and consumer products due to their unique properties such as water and oil repellence, thermal stability, and chemical resistance. PFAS can be found in many common products and consumer goods including toothpaste and food packaging.
PFAS are considered persistent, meaning that they do not break down easily in the environment and can accumulate in soil, water and living organisms. There are many different types of PFAS, many of which are already banned by regulators due to known health effects. Other types of PFAS are not known to cause health risks but their accumulation in the environment combined with their persistence has led to a review for possible legislative restrictions.
PFAS is not used as a material additive nor is it a functionality required in turf products. It is solely used as a processing aid during fiber extrusion improving consistency and reducing energy consumption. Several types of PFAS have already been banned in the USA and EU since the 1980s and these have not been used in turf production since. The PFAS used in turf production is fully compliant with all global regulatory schemes. However, out of an abundance of caution and in recognition of public concerns, we have decided to take proactive steps to transition away from the use of PFAS in our products. This transition will be completed before the end of 2023.

ZeoFill is made out of a 100% natural resource from the earth. It is different that any other infill because ZeoFill is a negatively charged honey-combed molecular structure which absorbs the urine like a magnet and prevents the ammonia from forming a gas which is the main cause of smell. ZeoFill due to its ability to hold onto gases, prevents the gas from escaping for long periods of time making ZeoFill the better choice infill when it comes to dog deodorizer.
For years there has been a struggle for pet owners to decide if artificial grass is beneficial for their dog. Since majority of dogs have accepted fake grass as their bathroom, their owners had to water down and flush out the urine bacteria from the turf. Many turf manufacturers have made antimicrobial pet turf to resist the bacterial ammonia from adhering to the turf fibers. Silica sand would hold ammonia urine resulting in a great deal of smell.
Envirofill® is the next era in turf infill. It offers unparalleled health and safety advantages for people, pets, and playgrounds, and is also lusher and longer-lasting than other turf infill options. With many benefits and proven results, this is the last infill you will ever need for your sports field or landscape applications.
